Purgatory Resort

Purgatory Resort

Located just an easy 30-minute drive from downtown Durango with no mountain passes to cross, Purgatory Resort is one of the most family-friendly mountains in Colorado. Purgatory features a wide variety of lodging & accommodations options. In addition to a high-speed, six passenger super chair, a terrain park that includes a halfpipe, multiple sections of rails and boxes, and sets of consecutive tabletops, step-up and big air hits, Purgatory is installing a new high-speed detachable quad.  The new chairlift will be installed this summer, is almost a mile in length, and will cover a vertical rise of nearly 1,500 feet in about 5 minutes. Skiers and snowboarders will love newly added terrain, including three advanced trails to the west of the new chairlift. Come and experience Purgatory Resort, a longtime favorite of skiers and snowboarders alike....offering something for everyone.
